The rain Saturday made outdoor shooting difficult. It stopped for maybe… twenty minutes, so Mallory and I ran outside to grab these (because if I am going to a con with a lake, THERE WILL BE LAKE SHOTS!) At least we got some diffused lighting and cool clouds! Her Korra is amazing, and again - Those. Bracers. So cool!

Bloodbending is morbidly fascinating, and “Puppetmaster” is quite possibly my favorite episode of Avatar. Since I had leftover fake blood and a willing subject, I decided to explore this more disturbing side of waterbending.
In short, I greatly enjoyed making Melissa’s hair GIANT and then throwing her into the stream behind my house. :P

You have NO idea how long I’ve been waiting to take an Earthbender to Hocking Hills. The natural formations are PERFECT for a little rock and roll!
(And we had a fun time climbing around on the rocks, too!)
(…even though perhaps we were not supposed to climb THAT high. Oops.)

Bubblebending - Behind the Scenes
Since everyone’s enjoying the Bubblebending set, here’s some bonus footage!
With so many moving elements, it took a long time to get the shots right! The wind kept changing, the light fought me (at one point the glare was so bad, I just set it to Auto-focus and prayed), it was HOT… and then, when Luna was FINALLY in position and Drill had the bubble JUST RIGHT - it popped. Every time! Poor kids ended up covered in soapy, syrupy water, but Benders NEVER SAY DIE!

Don’t think I’ve posted this one, and in an Avatar mood. So, here’s an awesome Jeong Jeong from ACEN 2009! This was a bit of a lucky shot. I actually found him in a parking lot as storm clouds gathered behind him, and began firing away. The wind helped by whipping the flag into a frenzy!
